Round Table Pizza is not the best pizza chain for vegans. Unfortunately, their breadsticks and pizza crust both contain dairy. This means you can’t even put together a vegan pizza at Round Table! But despite this tragic news, there are still a few things you can eat here.
Round Table Pizza vegan options:
- Garden Salad (Without Croutons)
- Spinach Salad (Without Cheese)
- Lay’s Potato Chips
- Lay’s BBQ Chips
- Sun Chips Multi Grain Original
- Vegetarian Chili (Select Locations)
- Roasted Peanuts (Hawaii Only)
- Veggies and Salad Bar Items
- Sauces and Condiments
- Beverages
Below, I’ll share more details on how to order these items vegan, and what to expect. I’ll also share a list of items that are surprisingly NOT vegan. Then I’ll answer some common questions about the Round Table pizza crust, vegan cheese, and more.
This vegan menu was compiled with the help of the allergen menu on the Round Table Pizza website.
Restaurant menus change and often vary by location, however. So I recommend double checking any important information with staff at your local Round Table Pizza!
1. Salad (Custom Order)
There are actually a couple different vegan salad options at Round Table Pizza. And thank goodness—because there’s not much else besides salad!
Here are the two options at pretty much every Round Table location:
- Garden Salad (Without Croutons): Mixed greens, mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, and any of the vegan salad dressings below.
- Spinach Salad (Without Cheese): Spinach, cucumber, grape tomatoes, red onion, sunflower seeds and balsamic dressing.
Here are the vegan salad dressings to choose from:
- Balsamic Vinaigrette
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Fat Free Italian Dressing
- French Dressing
- Olive Oil
- Red Wine Vinegar
- Ken’s Lite Olive Oil Vinaigrette Packets
Bonus: If you’re at a Hawaii location, you may also see a Mixed Green Salad, or you may see this instead of one of the others. In this case, the Mixed Green Salad should be vegan as long as you pick a vegan dressing.
See the lists of veggies and salad bar items below for extra ingredients you may be able to add to your salad.
2. Chips
These are not anything special, but often you’ll see some of these vegan chips available at Round Table, as well:
- Lay’s Potato Chips
- Lay’s BBQ Chips
- Baked Lay’s Original Chips
- Sun Chips Multi Grain Original
Note: Miss Vickie’s Jalapeño Chips contain whey (milk). So if you see those, they are not vegan.
3. Veggies and Salad Bar Items
If they have their salad bar open for your visit, you should be able to get all kinds of veggies, fruits, and other little extras. Here’s an approximate list taken roughly from the allergen menu:
- Baby Carrots
- Baby Corn
- Baby Spinach
- Bacon Bits
- Beets
- Bell Peppers
- Black Olives
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Chow Mein Noodles
- Cucumbers
- Edamame Soybeans
- Four Bean Salad
- Garbanzo Beans
- Grape Tomatoes
- Grapes
- Green Olives
- Jalapenos
- Kalamata Olives
- Kale
- Kidney Beans
- Lettuce Blend
- Mandarin Oranges
- Mushrooms
- Onions
- Peaches
- Peas
- Pepperoncinis
- Pickle Spears
- Pineapple Chunks
- Raisins
- Romaine Lettuce
- Saltine Crackers
- Spring Mix
- Strawberries
- Strawberry Parfait
- Sun Dried Tomatoes
- Sunflower Seeds
- Tropical Fruit Salad
Note: The Croutons contain milk. And there should also be vegan Black Beans at Hawaii locations.
In addition to getting veggies and such from the salad bar, there’s also the options they have on hand as pizza toppings. You could potentially ask for any of these as salad toppings instead:
- Artichoke Hearts
- Chopped Garlic
- Fresh Basil
- Green Peppers
- Jalapenos
- Mushrooms
- Onions (Red, Green, or Yellow)
- Pineapple Tidbits
- Roasted Garlic
- Roma Tomatoes
- Sliced Black Olives
- Spinach
- Zucchini
Note: The Italian Herb Seasoning and the Twist Seasoning both contain milk.
4. Sauces and Condiments
The selection of vegan sauces at Round Table is actually not bad:
- Garlic Oil
- Marinara / Red Sauce
- BBQ Sauce
- Polynesian Sauce
- Zesty Red Pizza Sauce
Note: The Basil Pesto and the Creamy Garlic Sauce both contain milk.
And here’s a couple more vegan “condiments” they should have on hand:
- Crushed Red Pepper Packets
- Sugar Packets
5. Beverages
Plenty of vegan drinks available to choose from:
- Aquafina Bottled Water
- Brisk Green Tea
- Brisk Iced Tea
- Diet Pepsi
- Dr. Pepper
- Mist Twist
- Mountain Dew
- Mug Root Beer
- Pepsi
- Pepsi Wild Cherry
- Sierra Mist
- Sobe Lifewater
- Tropicana Fruit Punch
- Tropicana Pink Lemonade
- Izze Sparkling Juice
- Mott’s Apple Juice
Depending on the Location…
There are two other “bonus” menu items you might possibly see. These will likely depend highly on the location, and I would not expect them at every Round Table location.
Vegetarian Chili
I’m not certain which RT locations have the Vegetarian Chili, but I found this item listed in the allergen menu, without any dairy or egg ingredients. Since the name also lets us know it is meat-free, we can pretty safely assume this is a vegan chili.
I also found this entry for Round Table’s Vegetarian Chili on a nutrition website, dated as recently as November 2020. So it may be worth asking about. That said, I don’t see it anywhere on the actual menu or the rest of the Round Table website.
Roasted Peanuts (Hawaii Only)
I mentioned above that the Hawaii locations of Round Table Pizza have Black Beans, along with an extra salad option. Well, another interesting vegan option at the Hawaii locations is Roasted Peanuts.
I’m guessing these are in-shell peanuts, but I haven’t been to RT in Hawaii, so I can’t actually say. But if you’re going to a Hawaii location, definitely ask about these Roasted Peanuts.
But What About…
You might assume that some of the following items would be vegan, as well. But unfortunately, they are not vegan:
- The Round Table Pizza Crust contains milk
- The Breadsticks contain milk.
- The Garlic Bread contains milk (even if you get it “without cheese”).
- The Jalapeno Poppers contain milk.
- The Pizzatatoes contain milk (even just the Spinach and Mushroom option).
- The Potato Wedges contain milk (I’m guessing it’s butter?).
- The Cinnamon Twists contain milk.
- The Minestrone Soup contains egg and milk.
Now let’s answer a few common questions about eating vegan at Round Table Pizza…
Does Round Table Have A Vegan Pizza?
Round Table does not have a vegan pizza. In fact, not only do they lack a pre-made vegan pizza—they also lack the ability to custom build a vegan pizza, as their crust contains milk. So, you’ll have to go elsewhere for vegan pizza!
Does Round Table Pizza Have Vegan Cheese?
Round Table Pizza does not have vegan cheese. And really, this makes sense. If they’re not even taking the effort to make their crust vegan, it’d be pointless for them to offer vegan cheese! Maybe someday…
Is Round Table Pizza Dough Vegan?
Unfortunately, Round Table Pizza dough is not vegan. It contains milk ingredients. This is a big disappointment, as most pizza chains are able to offer vegan crust. I would recommend checking out one of these other pizza chains or a local place with vegan crust instead:
Whole-Food Plant-Based Options
What if you’re not just vegan but also avoiding all processed foods? Can you get a whole-food plant-based (WFPB) meal at Round Table Pizza?
Since one of the only vegan options at Round Table is salad, you actually can order it WFPB pretty easily. You just need to choose an oil-free dressing. I’m not a total expert on the dressings at Round Table, but I’m guessing one or more of the vinegar or vinaigrette options would be WFPB.
You could also potentially add more extra veggies or fruits from the salad bar to fill out your WFPB meal. So the WFPB options here are surprisingly decent, considering how minimal the vegan options are overall.
Two More Recommendations for Your Plant-Based Journey

2. This is the best vegan multivitamin I’ve found in my 14 years of being vegan. It has vitamin B12, vitamin D, omega-3—and nothing else. Translation: It only has the nutrients vegans are actually low in. Read my full review of Future Kind’s multivitamin here (with 10% discount).
