If you’re a vegan golfer, chances are you already know how frustrating it can be trying to find reliable golf gloves that are not made from genuine leather. But there are quality non-leather gloves offering grip, comfort, and a natural feel .
I’ll start by sharing my #1 favorite pair of vegan golf gloves. Then I’ll explain how to choose your gloves and ensure they’re vegan, and I’ll share 8 more pairs. The last 3 pairs are also junior vegan golf gloves!
So let’s jump into my top pick…
Best Overall: PUMA Flexlite Golf Glove
Made from polyester, polyurethane foam, and spandex, the Flexlite Golf Glove from PUMA is a go-to choice for hundreds of vegan golfers. It’s my personal favorite. Check the price and styles on Amazon here.
With this model, Puma uses a combination of materials to make a truly durable, flexible glove. The 4-way stretch Lycra with the angled Velcro tab ensures a great fit.
The strategically placed perforations on the fingers and top of the glove help improve breathability, while the “Stay Grip” palm gives extra stability and control.
- Gets great reviews across the board
- Handles moisture well
- Comfortable fit
- Easy to take off and put on
- Design is awkward for some golfers
How to Choose Vegan Golf Gloves
Vegan golf gloves shouldn’t contain animal products whatsoever. This mainly refers to the use of animal skin, namely leather.
Unfortunately, leather is very common in golf gloves—especially Cabretta leather. Of course, leather offers good durability and flexibility—but it’s not vegan.
But there are some good vegan gold gloves out there. Synthetic microfibers like “autosuede” and knitted fabrics, for example, are commonly used to make vegan golf gloves. These materials offer great flexibility and are quick-drying.
Why Rain Gloves Are Often Vegan
Synthetic and non-leather golf gloves are actually superior to real leather when it comes to playing in humid or wet conditions. Genuine leather is prone to damage the longer it’s wet, while synthetic materials are waterproof.
Reflecting that, a few of the top vegan golf glove choices below are rain gloves.
Semi-Vegan Golf Gloves?
Keep in mind that many golf gloves incorporate several different materials. Sometimes, you’ll find that most of the glove is synthetic… but then it has a leather palm or something.
Most vegans would not be okay with a leather palm, and I can relate. I would only personally buy 100% vegan golf gloves.
That said, keep in mind your preferences and values, because if you’re open to these “semi-vegan” gloves, being flexible could open up extra options.
